In the framework of cooperation, a delegation from the International Relations Office has recently visited the UNDP office in the Gaza Strip. This visit is one of the organized series of visits to international organizations and foundations in order to strengthen the relationship of the AQU with the international community.
Ms. Chitose Noguchi, the Head of Gaza office of UNDP, and Eng. Eman Alhussini, the director of projects in UNDP, expressed their warm feelings hosting the delegation of AQU emphasizing the role of UNDP in supporting the education in Palestine and showed her interest to cooperate with higher education institutions through the implementation of joint programs that contribute to building and developing the capabilities of youth and graduates.
For his part, Dr. Nabil El-Aila was grateful to UNDP management and emphasized on their vital role in the Gaza Strip. In the context of cooperation, Dr. El Aila gave a brief introduction about AQU and its faculties and academic programs. He also explained the development timeline of AQU emphasizing the future plans which target the development of facilities and human resources including students and staff. On the same line, Dr. El Aila indicated to AQU strategy of internationalization confirming that the university endeavor to keep pace with global development in the field of research and innovation and the integration of the new ICT strategies and tool in the learning process to provide students with best practices and to ensure the quality of education which meets the needs and requirements of the community. In this respect, it is worth noting that the university pays great attention to students, especially in the areas of training and practice, and seeks to provide them with various skills that enhance their capabilities and capabilities to be engaged in the labor market. During this fruitful meeting, Dr. El Aila discussed with Ms. Noguchi the possibilities to support the important infrastructure projects that the university needs and its importance to the students and the learning process.
At the end of the visit, Dr. El Aila invited the Director of the United Nations Development Program in Gaza to visit the university to strengthen the relationship between the two parties.
